Skin friendly.... Works magical for people with allergies and people with sensitive skin.
I bought Vanicream while trying to repair a damaged skin barrier. My skin was extremely dry, irritated, sensitive, and reacting badly to a lot of products, so I needed something very simple and gentle. This cream ended up being one of the few things my skin could actually tolerate consistently. The texture is VERY thick, but surprisingly not greasy. I wouldn’t call it lightweight either, but it feels more comforting than heavy, especially when your skin feels dry and stripped. I mostly used it on damp skin after applying water or Avène Thermal Spring Water first, and it layered well with the rest of my barrier repair routine. Most importantly, it didn’t sting my skin and didn’t cause breakouts for me, which was a huge relief because my skin was reacting to almost everything at the time.I also appreciate how basic and versatile it is. It’s the kind of product that works well when your skin is overwhelmed and you need to simplify everything. I can see why so many people with sensitive or compromised skin recommend it.If I had to describe it simply, this feels less like a luxury moisturizer and more like a reliable “safe” product to keep around for when your skin barrier is struggling.Overall, really happy with it and will definitely repurchase.Great size for your money. A little goes a long way and this will last you for a long time. Staple in my house.
Absolutely love this!
The bottle is old, yellowed, and scratched. There is no clear indication of whether it is unopened or has been tampered with. Extremely poor packaging overall. BUT after using for 1 month I would say this is the best moisturizer I have used till now. Absolutely no allergic reaction (I have a very sensitive skin) but yes it's a bit thick.
Excellent product
